We’re a social enterprise that provides consulting services to deliver sustainable solutions for clients, and advances ecological, social and economic well-being in the Georgian Bay Biosphere region.
We believe sustainable development, as defined by the United Nations, is a powerful means to address the climate crisis and biodiversity loss in a manner that supports human rights and social justice and moves us toward reconciliation with Indigenous peoples.
We are invested in communities of the UNESCO Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere. We contribute towards building the capacity of the region by responding to causes aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including investing profits in the UNESCO Georgian Bay Mnidoo Gamii Biosphere programs, and supporting its partners in the region.
Generations Effect is situated within the Robinson-Huron Treaty of 1850 and Williams Treaty of 1923 and located on Anishinabek territory. We are grateful to work with First Nation communities and Indigenous people in this area and acknowledge their ancestors as caretakers of the air, land, and water. We support the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples in this territory and work towards respectful and reciprocal relationships as part of our commitment to Truth and Reconciliation.
